The oil control as described are used for the control of vaporizing oil burners in oil stoves and water heaters since many years. The new edition was completed with requirements on the strength of those parts which produce or transmit the closing force, with the procedure of a performance test of the safety device after some operations and with a test of the reproducibility of the flowrate adjustment. The tolerances for specific gravity and viscosity of the test oil have been changed.
