Heat transfer installations working with organic heat transfer fluids - Safety requirements, test.

Summary

The document applies to heat transfer appliances in which organic heat transfer fluids are being heated with atmospheric pressure to reach a temperature above or below their initial boiling point. The document applies to heating appliances only in so far as the pipes of the heater contain the heat transfer fluids. The document does not apply to refrigerating plants, heat pumps and cooling appliances, portable room radiators as individual heating and solar heating plants with solar collectors if the heating in the relevant circuit is operated by solar energy only. The standard has been drawn up with the purpose of concretizing the protective aims established in the accident prevention regulations, ""heat transfer installations working with organic heat transfer fluids"", and to standardize the technical devices concerned.

Notes

A transition period, as set out in DIN 4754-1 (2015-03), exists until 2016-03-01.
