Summary
In recent time a kind of energy-saving became more popular the combination of boilers heated alternatively by solid, liquid or gaseous fuels but connected with one chimney only. To avoid expensive agreements according to german law this standard was set up. The certification-mark 'DIN Prüf- und Überwachungszeichen' is available for these combined plants. In this case a governmental agreement is not necessary any more. The certification mark is also available for a type-test.*Among the various safety-requirements the election of the suitable diameter of the chimney should be mentioned especially.

A transition period, as set out in DIN 4759 (2018-04), exists until 2018-10-01.
