This standard specifies a method for the determination of the boiling stability of wet blue in a sammy state. The specific length shrinkage is used as a control of the quality of the chrome tanning. Note: According to this standard an examination after removal directly from the tanning drum as process control is possible. The values thus determined are not directly comparable with those from the sammy samples.
