This document specifies the determination of resistance to thermal shock of refractory unused burnt bricks by the water quenching method. This document is not applicable to basic bricks, unburnt chemical or hydraulic bonded bricks or unshaped products, silica bricks, fused blocks and bricks with a volume fraction of total porosity greater than 45 %.
