This document specifies a method for the the determination of change in mass on ignition in air or inert gas atmosphere at a temperature of (1200 ± 25) °C. It is appliable for all oxidic raw materials and materials in the technical field of refractories and ceramics with exception of refractories containing silica and/or alumina.
