Summary
This standard applies to steel wires with nominal diameters of <= 0,5 mm. The tensile test using knotted specimens serves for the examination of the deformability of such thin wires where the reverse bend test (DIN ISO 7801) and the torsion test (DIN ISO 7800) do not lead to explicit results and therefore are not applied in general.
