DIN 5156:2000-05

The document applies to machine taps intended for manufacturing internal pipe threads where pressure-tight joints are not made on the threads (symbol G) according to DIN ISO 228-1 and whitworth pipe threads for tubes and fittings (symbol Rp) DIN 2999-1. Machine taps according to that standard are not suitable for whitworth pipe threads for pipe couplings in accordance with DIN 3858. DIN 2999-1 shall be replaced by DIN EN 10226-1.
