The pressing-drill method facilitates the collection of representative analytical samples from heterogeneous materials of low bulk density. This document applies to solid substitute fuels, solid recovered fuels, biofuels, light packaging, fluff-light fractions, high calorific fractions, biologically treated waste or deposits, paper, cardboard, plastics and textiles and to solid materials of low bulk density, in general. The method can only be used with compressible materials.
