This standard specifies a torsional shear test, which is designed to determine the bond strength in shear of predominantly anaerobic adhesives and the comparative evaluation of their capability of withstanding shear, which cannot be ascertained by other tests like e. g. the tensile shear test in accordance with DIN EN 1465.
