Summary

This standard applies to desiccants in bags sufficiently pervious to water vapour for the use in packages with low water vapour transmission. The purpose of this requirements are uniform assessment criteria for the efficiency of the desiccant bags. Desiccant bags should protect the packaged goods againt high humidity during trasport and storage to avoid corrosion, mould infestation etc.
