DIN 55633:2009-04

This standard specifies the corrosion protection of steel structures by powder coating systems. It deals with powder coatings and systems for different environments, surface preparation grades, expected durabilities, laboratory test methods for the assessment of powder coating systems and the execution and supervision of paint work. The standard concerns structures of carbon or low-alloy steel (e. g. in accordance with DIN EN 10025) of not less than 3 mm thickness, which are designed using an approved strength calculation. The structures are uncoated or hot dip galvanized (see DIN EN ISO 1461).
