Summary
This document applies to safety-ropes, which are used as protection against falling of movable objects within meaning of BGV C1 C1/GUV-V. The safety-rope is also known as 'second suspension' according to DIN VDE 0711-217 (VDE 0711-217). The maximum potential drop distance may be 0,2 m. The safety-rope is used in events and production, such as theaters, multipurpose halls, movie theaters, schools, music halls, cabarets, bars and nightclubs, in film, radio and television. The safety-rope is not used as a sling for general hoisting operations.
Notes
A transition period, as set out in DIN 56927 (2020-11), exists until 2021-05-01.
