Summary

This standard applies to reflecting metal coatings based on aluminum and silver for optical applications. The intention of this standard is to specify minimum requirements on the optical effects and the mechanical, chemical and environmental properties of these coatings. Thereby the user is enabled to use defined numerical data while the manufacturer of thin films has the choice for the materials and production method.
