This standard applies to neutral beamsplitter coatings for optical applications. The purpose of this standard is to specify minimum requirements on the optical effects and the mechanical, chemical and environmental properties of those coatings. Thereby the user is enabled to use defined numerical data while the manufacturer of thin films has the choice for the materials and production method.
