This document relates to diamond impregnated grinding tools, which are used as chamfer tools in the production of optical engineering. These tools are used for the production of non-toleranced chamfers - typically on optical lenses and similar optical elements. The purpose of these provisions is to lay down standardized dimensions, with the goal to limit the variety of shapes, to allow for their interchangeability in optical grinding machines and to ensure uniform conditions for their use as hand tools.
