This document applies to cultural investigations for the detection of mycobacteria. These investigations are assigned to risk level B according to DIN 58957 part 1 and are to be carried out in medical microbiological laboratories of a least of type 2 according to DIN 58956 part 1. It is the requirements is to ensure the comparability and the reproducibility of the test results.
