The standard is valid for medical-microbiological laboratories according to DIN 58956 part 1 in which bacteriological, mycological, virological and/or parasitological works with microorganisms of risk-groups II to IV are executed, as well as for other laboratories in which microbiological works with microorganisms capable of reproduction of the mentioned risk-groups are executed.
