The document applies to the direct detection fo nucleic acids of the Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex (MTC) from human test material by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) according to DIN 58967-60 or another equivalent nucleic acid qualitative and quantitative detection of nucleic acids by nucleic acid amplification and/or nucleic acid hybridization. It is only valid for mycobacteria belonging to MTC.
