The document applies to combined heat and power systems (CHPS) with reciprocating internal combustion engines for generating a.c. current and usable heat. It applies to single and multiproduction CHPS-modules. It lays down common definitions and requirements which are needed for the operation of the consumer installation taking into account the characteristics and demands with regard to the voltage- and frequence behaviour, temperatur level and need of power and which shall guarantee at any time the function of the protection devices.
