Spherical washers, conical seats, Corrigenda to DIN 6319:2001-10

Summary

Spherical washers and conical seats are used to transmit clamping forces in cases where the clamping devices have to adapt themselves to surfaces that are not parallel to one another. the paring of spherical washers and conical seats allows the clamp bolts to be inclined by 30° relative to the axis of the assembly. For slots, such as those in clamps according to DIN 6314, DIN 6315 and DIN 6316 only type G conical seats shall be used. Conical seats type D are only to be used with plain closed ring surfaces; not with slots.
