This document describes the preparation of test panels made of thermosetting resins which are reinforced in one or several plies with unidirectional wound yarns and rovings. Test specimens for the determination of the characteristic fibre data are taken from the test panels consisting of one or several plies in accordance with the relevant test standard. The one-ply flat test specimens are only used for the determination of tensile strength and modulus of elasticity in tension when loaded parallel to the fibre direction.
