The document describes the preparation of sandwich test panels with prepreg-type facings and plastic or aluminium honeycomb-type cores. According to the applicable test standard, test specimens are taken from these panels for the following tests to determine the characteristics of the sandwich construction: - drum peeling load (see DIN 53295); - tensile strength normal to the plane of facings (see DIN 53295); - flexural strength (see DIN 53295); - compressive strength parallel to the plane of facings.
