This standard specifies the terms and definitions for annealing, stress relieving, hot straiphtening and hot isostatic sealing. In addition to the general indications to be observed for the heat treatment of castings made from titanium and titanium alloys it defines the requirements for the heat treatment conditions (temperature ranges, holding times, cooling procedures) and the inspections and tests to the performed.
