The document applies to welding equipment used for plasma arc welding of components in aerospace construction. It may also serve as reference document for other fields of application. It specifies the minimum requiremnts for plasma arc welding equipment in order to ensure, among others, a consistent quality of welded joints in aerospace construction. It shall be used as a basis for aerospace procurement specifications.
