Summary

The test method described in this document covers the determination of tensile properties of fibre reinforced plastics made from semi-finished fibre product (yarns, rovings, filament fabrics) and matrix systems with carbon fibres, glass fibres or aramid fibres as reinforcing materials. It serves to determine the tensile strength, modulus of elasticity and elongation at break when loaded parallel to the fibre oriented or in the warp or weft directions.
