This standard covers the performance requirements and the test methods for stationary electrical systems used for warning of carbon dioxide concentrations detrimental to health in ambient air (systems for the detection of carbon dioxide). This standard applies to mains-operated systems for the detection of carbon dioxide intended for use in beverage dispensing systems including integrated dispensing systems with measuring gas supply. Systems for the detection of carbon dioxide are important for e. g. emptying of compressed-gas containers in cellars or poorly ventilated rooms.
