Relationship between tolerances of size, form, and parallelism; envelope requirement without individual indication on the drawing

Summary

This DIN-standard describes the envelope principle, if the drawing shows no reference to ISO 8015. According to the envelope principle the deviations of form and parallelism are limited by the size tolerances.*In the opposite in ISO 8015 the principle of independency is standardized which says that all dimensional and geometrical tolerances shall be met independently unless a particular relationship is specified on the drawing.
