DIN 8119-5:2018-07

This standard applies to the calculation of new road weighbridges and the re-calculation of existing ones. It is not valid for combined rail- / road-weighbridges (see DIN 8119-6). Road weighbridges must not be treated like standard roadway bridges. Unlike the latter, they are errected outside the main tracks and are crossed at reduced speed. As a safety precaution against overload, suitable signposting is foreseen that indicates the maximum load oft he weighbridge and the speed restrictions while crossing the scale.
