This standard gives, together with Part 2, 3 and 4 of this series of standards, the technical designer assessment criteria for the selection and use of the listed unprotected metal materials in seawater or sea-atmosphere and with the interpretation of components of ships and devices on the basis of the corrosion behaviour and material consumption in order to advice corrosion damages.
