Summary

Chain wheels according to this document are used for power transmission by means of inverted tooth chains according to DIN 8190. They are suitable for all cases where the inverted tooth chain runs around the wheels. The involute chain wheels with a pressure angle 30° have an extremely negative addendum modification. Chain wheels meshing with a straight inverted tooth type chain are provided with special gearing.
