This standard specifies main dimensions and requirements for resting platforms on ladders for ships. The document describes devices designed to give protection against fall as well as a place to rest for the users of especially large ladders. Resting platforms are required for ladders of more than 10 m height. They consist of a seating, a back and the necessary supporting components as framework and stiffener.
