This standard specifies requirements, testing and marking of cable stoppers designed to withstand 80 % of the nominal breaking load of chain cable. Beside important instructions on the function and operatiopn of the cable stopper, design characteristics are given without stating dimensional specifications. The standard contains denominations and distinctive criteria for the different types of cable stoppers.
