This standard is meant to support the exchange of technical data between supplier and customer where design and technology are concerned as well as those boundary conditions and interfaces that have to be taken into account. The document can be used analogously for machinery and plant for other products similar to beverages when these have to comply with comparable requirements. This standard is valid for machinery for bottle or can bottling and also for those machines listed in the annex that are used in related operations directly before or after the task. The scope of the standard does not include machinery or plant for the processing or preprocessing of beverages. This standard does not determine any safety requirements.
