DIN 8989:2018-12

This Standard applies to single lifts according to the EU Directive for lifts (Directive 2014/33/EU) up to a capacity of 2500 kg and a miximum Speed of 4 m/s in newly constructed buildings with solid constructed shafts intended for lifts and for rooms requiring sound insulation with a volume of 20m3 up to 125 m3. The objective of this standard is to show all involved in the process, the sound protection requirements according to the acknowledged rules of Technology. The latter are notably the standards series DIN 4109 and the guideline VDI 4100.
