Summary
This standard is intended for use in selecting fit tolerances and tolerance zone combinations for airframe applications in the aerospace industry and to reduce the variety of possible combinations resulting from ISO/R 286 so as to minimize the number of tools, gauges and measuring devices. All tolerance zones selected and the combinations thereof are based on experiences made in airframe construction.
