Principles of the ergonomic design of assistive systems
Summary
As part of the ergonomics of human-system interaction standard series, this document establishes general principles of the ergonomic design of assistive systems und provides a framework for their application for design, analysis and evaluation of assistive systems. The principles are presented without specification of the concrete context of use (e. g., user, working situation, application, work environment or technique). Each principles is supported by recommendations and examples. This document is intended for the following user groups: - designers of assistive Systems who apply these principles and recommendations during the development process, the design and the implementation of the respective system functionality; - buyers who will reference this document during product procurement; - evaluators who are responsible for ensuring that the product meets the principles and recommendations of this document.
