DIN CEN ISO/TR 11811*DIN SPEC 91217:2012-12

This DIN SPEC describes measurement techniques used for the evaluation of the tribological performance of sliding contacts on a scale from a few nanometres to 10 microns. Procedures are described for carrying out such measurements, while guidance is also given on the effect of measurement parameters on the test results. This DIN SPEC covers techniques where the applied load is between 100 µN and 100 mN. This DIN SPEC does not cover existing scanning probe microscopy techniques such as atomic or frictional force microscopy.
