Summary
The document specifies general requirements for the application and operating parameters of limiting and indicating devices installed on powered cranes. It deals especially with rated capacity limiters and indicators as well as with motion and performance limiters and indicators. It does not cover erection, dismantling operations or changing the configuration of the crane. Specific requirements for particular types of cranes are given in the appropriate European standards for the particular crane types.
