This standard applies to electric equipment which control electrical heating. It applies both to adaptive and fixed paraments control functions and sets minimum acceptable standards for functions, performance and documentation. Safety systems and heating control systems remain unaffected by this standard. The actuators are not covered in this standard. This standard does not cover heat emitters. This control equipment may or may not be connected to a data network. Input and output signal can be processed by analogue or digital techniques.
