DIN EN 12927-6:2005-06

This European Standard specifies the safety requirements applicable to discard criteria for ropes for passengers transportation by rope. This standard is applicable to the various types of installations and takes into account their environment. The standard applies to all types of ropes used in cableways for passenger transport. Taking its scope into account requirements relating to the protection of workers are not included in this standard. It is applicable to all ropes installed after its date of publication. It is not applicable to installations for the transportation of goods nor to inclined lifts.
