DIN EN 12927-8:2005-06

This European Standard specifies the requirements applicable to magnetic inspection equipment of ropes for installations for passenger transportation by rope. This standard is applicable to the various types of installations and takes into account their environment. It covers the general requirements of NDT equipment and its use in the examination of all types of ropes used in cable ways for passenger transport. Performance characteristics of equipment, test methods (type test and production) and qualification of personnel are all included.
