Summary

This European Standard is applicable to the design, construction, installation of safety devices, information for use, maintenance and testing of mobile cranes as defined in ISO 4306-2 with the exception of loader cranes (see EN 12999:2002, 3.1.1). Examples of mobile crane types and of their major parts are given in annex A and B. This standard does not cover hazards related to the lifting of persons. This Amendment deals mainly with regarding to override the capacity limiters.
