Glass in building - Structural sealant glazing - Part 2: Assembly rules; German version EN 13022-2:2006+A1:2010
Summary
In comparison to EN 13022-2: 2006 this version contains among other things modifications to the conditioning of test specimens in the informative Annex A. The standard test specimens for water immersion and room temperature conditioning as well as for hot water immersion and room temperature conditioning are conditioned in air at (23 ± 2) °C for (24 ± 2) h to (48 ± 2) h. Only (24 ± 2) h was specified previously. Furthermore, the statement for the total factor "" tot = 6"" has been changed into an equation in some subclauses of the informative Annex B. Additionally, notes have been added to Annex B with recommendations on how to proceed if the value of the total factor "" tot"" is lower or no national values are available. In the normative Annex C the requirements for cutting and peeling have been specified more precisely in the description of the test method (C.3.3.) so that cutting and peeling must now be repeated until the bead is peeled over 2/3 of the length of the substrate. This European Standard deals with the assembly and installation of glass elements in windows, doors or curtain walling structures or directly in the building by structural bonding of the glass element into or onto a framework or directly in the building. It gives information to enable the assembler to organise his work and comply with requirements regarding quality control.
