This European Standard specifies requirements for mixtures of the mix group porous asphalt. It also deals with the selection of the constituent materials. Porous asphalt can be used in most kinds of traffic and climates on roads, airfields and other trafficked areas. It is used for surface courses. NOTE: The layer thickness should be between 2,2 D and 4 D, where D is the upper sieve size of the aggregate in the mixture. Porous asphalt can be laid in two or more layers.
