This draft standard gives requirements and the corresponding test/assessment methods applicable to leak detection kits based on the detection of the presence of liquid and/or vapour in interstitial spaces, leakage containments or monitoring wells. The kits are usually composed by: - sensing device(s); - evaluation device; - alarm device. This draft standard was worked out under the Mandate M/131 'Pipes, tanks and ancillaries not in contact with water for human consumption' under the Regulation (EU) No 305/2011 of the European Parliament and the Council 9 March 2011 laying down harmonised conditions for the marketing of construction products.
