This is the consolidated Version of EN 13411-1:2002 and includes the amendment A1:2008 to the standard. This European Standard specifies the minimum requirements for general purpose steel thimbles suitable for use with steel wire rope slings. Reeving thimbles and solid thimbles are not covered by this standard. The hazards covered by this standard are identified in clause 4.
Notes
DIN EN 13411-1 (2002-05) remains valid alongside this standard until 2009-12-28.
