Summary
This standard specifies the characteristics of special fastening systems for switches and crossings, and check rails connected to the running rail (not fixed direct to the bearers) on wood, concrete and steel bearers in ballasted track and on slab track (switches and crossings having a radius of curvature in divergent track greater than 80 m and subject to a maximum design axle load of 260 kN). This standard is applicable to fastening systems which incorporate a resilient component. This standard is not applicable to rigid fastening systems.
