This European Standard is applicable to drinking, surface, ground and rain water. It may not be suitable for industrial and domestic waste water because stronger digestion methods may be required. The working range for this Standard is from 1 ng/l to 100 ng/l. Samples containing mercury at concentrations higher than the working range can be analysed following appropriate dilution of the sample.
