Summary
The project specifies flat bottom symmetrical railway rails above 27 kg/m and below 46 kg/m. Five pearlitic steel grades are specified giving a hardness range between 200-390 HBW. These steel grades are as rolled carbon manganese, alloy steels and heat-treated carbon manganese and low alloy steels. There are 12 rail profiles specified in this standard, but these may not be available in all steel grades.
